Thankfully, they get to enjoy carefree trips courtesy of a place that brings its own special kind of magic to the Orlando area: Give Kids the World Village. Click the video accompanying this article for an overview tour of Give Kids the World Village . The resort, which is located in Kissimmee, not too far from Walt Disney World and the other attractions, is a special place that acts as home base for sick children and their families. They stay in cozy villas and head off to the theme parks for days of fun that offset some of the pain they go through on a regular basis from treatments and hospital stays. The resort itself is a destination, too, with rides, characters, movies, swimming, horse and carriage rides, and even Halloween and Christmas celebrations every week of the year. All of the activities are fully handicap accessible. The other village is funded by donations from corporate sponsors and individuals, and its financial records show that the vast majority of the money collected goes right to providing vacations for the youngsters. Visit http://www.gktw.org for more information or to make a donation. Give Kids the World Village hosts various fund-raisers throughout the year.

Disney World makes its Villains party an upcharge event
From Eric Orlando on June 5, 2014 at 7:26 PM I was there last year and it was a madhouse. Resort buses were taking 3 hours to get to the park. My wife and I parked at POP and walked over. Apparently we got there right before it hit capacity. It was fun and pretty unique but I’m not sure I’d pay that price for it. $40-50 would be a good spot for me. From James Rao on June 5, 2014 at 8:01 PM If this party is anything like the Halloween party it will be a lot of fun. And hey, if you want cheap go to the local fair, stay away from Orlando! From Phil B. on June 5, 2014 at 9:48 PM So rather than make major news and give fans something truly fantastic by finally announcing a fully realized villains land after the huge success after last years Friday the 13th party, they just go ahead and create yet another upcharge event…meh At least give us some more Orange Harvest teases to assure us things are still moving forward, jeez From 188.8.131.52 on June 7, 2014 at 12:07 AM The Halloween event at the MK is good value for the money, partially because the wait times for the rides are so short all night.
